Templates

Shopify Customizer is using term "templates" for every page. You should have product template, collection template, collection list template and other templates. When you are editing your theme in the customizer, you can select which tempate you are editing in top part of the customizer.

For most templates you can have more copies of it with different settings. That is useful, when you wants to have different settings or sections for multiple type of products. Also, we are suggesting to use this for creating stunning pages. You can create different page template for each page in your Store. Once you create template in the customizer, go into page/product/collection administration and here you can assign which template will be used for selected item.

You will see your new template only if theme where it is, is currently published. If it isn't published now, you will not see templates from it.
